EDDYVILLE Golf Cart Inspections

The Kentucky Revised Statutes were amended to allow the City of Eddyville to permit the operation of golf carts on City streets. The City adopted Ordinance 2021-05-03 A permitting the use of golf carts on designated City streets. The purpose of this information sheet is to summarize the conditions under which golf carts may be used on those designated City streets. The ability to drive golf carts on City streets is controlled by the language in KRS 189.286. Any person wanting to drive a golf cart on authorized City streets must have it inspected by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and obtain a permit from the City of Eddyville.
